    Description

    2 parts, about 60 x 40 mm gold border and shield linked to a curved top bar/pin with
    C.H. Parmalee's name.   Silver armored Knight affixed to the main shield, knight's initials
    FCB (the artist?)
    on his shield.
    30 grams total.
    Carroll H. Parmalee (1861-1919) was Register of the Federal Land Office in Buffalo.
    State Superindendent of Public Instruction,
    and judge of Wyoming's Fourth Judicial District (2 terms).
    Presided over some of the sheep herders vs. cattlemen disputes.
    This medal/pin is marked SS Davis Silver, Supreme Lodge, etc, on the silver half-panel
    on the knight's reverse.  Tested as Sterling.
    Around the reverse gold rim is script "Presented for the Grand Lodge of Wyoming Sept. 8. 1898"
    The rest Tested electronically as Gold-Filled.
    Nice Condition, and a one-of-a-kind item. Sorry, I am not a good picture-taker - but this is Impressive
