    Description

These photos were taken in Occupied Japan at the end of the war between 1946 and 1947. They are primarily of the V Fighter Command (originally the 5th Fighter Command) part of the US Air Force.  Most are located in Fukuoka (Fukuoka/Itazuke airbase) and around Fukogawa Harbour. A lot the photos are of their Stateside Club and base, they are an interesting view into military life during this time in Japan. All are original photos from the time and not reproductions or duplicates.
Please see photos for condition and size. Photos are also frequently labeled on the back with names by the original owner.
I have a large collection of photos from 1941-1947,  from Major RM Clem. He trained mostly in Cochran Field, Georgia (1941) for the Air Force and later fought in overseas in Germany, Belgium and Switzerland (I believe in 1942-45 as part of the 436th squadron.) In 1946 he entered the V Fighter Command and was stationed in Japan through 1947. Please see my other photos, he certainly had a good eye for daily life during WW2. I have pieced this together as well as I can from the photographs. All photos are originals from the time and not reproductions.
I'm happy to combine shipping on any photos within the USA. Please message me for an updated invoice if needed.
