Vintage 1955 Masonic Freemason Berkshire Lodge Sash, Apron & 925 Silver Jewel

Up for auction is a vintage 1950's British Masonic
Free Masons set of a Ceremonial Sash, Apron and 925 Sterling Silver Badge on a collarette
that were issued to the
Assistant Director of Ceremonies (DC)
in the Provincial Grand Lodge of Berkshire.
The DC is expected to oversee the ceremonial aspects of the Lodge's meetings, especially
when a degree ceremony or an installation is being
conducted.

Masonic apron, decorated with
Freemason symbols and gold thread embroidered with the Berkshire insignia and ASS
T
which is an abbreviation for 'Assistant'.

Royal Arch Member Masonic Sash. Made by Masonic manufacturer C. Weeden and Sons, London.

A collarette with a 30gr gilt silver jewel of the Berkshire Assistant Director of Ceremonies. Made from 3-piece genuine 925 silver and is stamped with several typically English sterling silver hallmarks (see pictures): Lion for 925 silver, Leopard's head for London with date letter "U" for 1955 and with the makers stamp mark of "Toye & Co" from London.

The collarette with the Silver Jewel and the Sash are in
good condition

The apron is showing wear to the fiber cloth with tiny holes and stains due to long storage. It also has some stain patina on the gilded ornaments of the apron. These blemishes are not seen in all the photos. Obviously, this is not a mint apron, but these flaws only add to its character and age.
This lot will make a fine addition to any Freemason collection.

with internet tracking for items valued up to 0. If the customer prefers a courier-based shipping service such as EMS
and is willing to cover the higher costs, I will be happy to accommodate.
In the case of lost or damaged items, Priority Airmail covers compensation for the item value & postage costs up to 0 maximum.  Higher levels of compensation are included only in the
EMS
services.
It takes up to 3 or more weeks for delivery. Sometimes postal service is getting slower especially at weekends and holiday. Occasionally there may be delays because of extra security checks at the post office.
