    Description

A quite rare and possibly one of the only remaining examples of an 1872 Masonic Festival program given by the Speculative Lodge number 307. This was held at the McLean House in Cherokee, Iowa for the A.F. and A. M. on St. John's Day, Friday December 27. The program includes the schedule of events, Committees members, and Officers of the Lodge. To put this in perspective, General George Custer and the Battle of Little Bighorn happened in 1876. This Mason celebration happened 4 years prior.
The program is 7" by 5 1/4" as folded, and it's in good condition with a musty smell, folds, surface dirt and age/handling wear as seen in the photos.
