Description

This is a used Stenograph Stentura 6000 court reporting/steno machine. The machine looks to be in good condition cosmetically with scuffs, scratches and marks from usage. No physical damage at all to report.  This unit has two wider keys (center, far right) as you can see in the photos. This unit will print to paper as well as memory/real-time. There is no ink-ribbon cartridge with the unit, the ink ribbons are consumables and only needed if you are writing directly to paper.
There is some discoloration on the display background and some diagonal scratches across the display. Neither impact the readability of the unit at all.  The black carrying case is shedding a little in the inside smaller pocket.
The unit powers on perfectly,display and floppy drive were tested and working. All of the keys press smoothly with no binding or hesitation at all and the roller moves forward as intended. The
unit has a port on the back for external interfacing of real-time notes, the RS232 realtime computer & steno connectors are included along with the cable.  No software included.  In order to use this with a modern day PC, a "USB-to-Serial" adapter would be required, consult an expert for details.
Please note that this machine is used, no maintenance or service history is available. These machines are routinely serviced/adjusted to maintain functionality. No guarantees on performance are implied or warranted. This machine also includes a rechargeable battery, the battery is used and sold with no guarantees on life or longevity. During my testing that battery took & held a charge and was able to power the unit independently of any external power.
