Rare Vintage Knights of Pythian Sisters Fraternal Medal...
The medal shows the letters F.P.L.E. around a pair of crossed swords.   On the top is a "bar"
that looks like it was for an engraved name?   Just below is a crescent moon with a face in profile.
On the reverse is maker marked...."Pettibone Bro...Mfg. Co." (remaining letters are faded)
This is a neat old fraternal organization medal and great addition to any collection!

The Pettibone Brothers Manufacturing Company, based in Cincinnati, Ohio, made uniforms for the military, bands, and letter carriers, as well as accessories like dress swords and buttons.
The company was founded shortly after the Civil War by brothers James and William Pettibone.
They also made banners, badges, flags, regalia, and paraphernalia.
