    As you can see in the 3rd photo of a different model for sale in a current popular catalog, cassette recorders sell for bucks WITHOUT being able to plug into a telephone line.  This unit I have up for sale is a great bargain -- I bought it from Radio Shack for more than 0 and it was only used a few times.
