ITEM: Original WWII Snapshot Photo of the 778th AAA BATTALION - 778th AAA BATTALION M3 HALFTRACK & TRAILER with trailer flipped and wrecked along a road in Germany, 1945. See the two companion photos that I have listed separately.
Photo was taken by Sergeant Daniel Siksnus of Chicago, Illinois who was in the 778th AAA (Anti-Aircraft Artillery) AW Battalion (SP) attached to the 76th Infantry Division from 21 January through 9 May 1945. Their battery was equipped with M15 Halftracks each mounting a 37mm AA gun and two .50 caliber M2 machine guns.
