Fabulous Complete & Original Sterling Silver William B Kerr Griffin Satire Belt

This is an amazing and fully original complete belt. This belt is designed and crafted by William B Kerr. It is in absolutely fabulous condition with the original patina, I have not polished this piece. It is crafted from Solid Sterling silver. The belt consists of 5 very ornate silver fittings and chains. They are in fabulous condition with no damage. Each piece is connected to one another by a silver chain. This piece measures 25 inches in length. It can be lengthened by adding extra chain by a skilled jeweler. The center plaque is 3 3/4 inches by 2 1/2 inches. This is a high quality piece as to be expected by such an amazing silversmith. The back of the pieces are hallmarked sterling along with Kerr's hallmark of a single bit axe. This was trademark of a medieval axe from the 1880's until 1927. A fabulous example of a fine art Nouveau era silversmith.
