    Description

    This attractive fob (drop) from a Knights Templar medal (jewel) is from the Central City Commandery No. 25 in Syracuse, New York.  The wording identifies the Commandery and its city, and the reverse has the mark of the C. G. Braxmar Company, 10 Maiden Lane, New York.  [NOTE:  The Braxmar Company, according to references, was at this address approximately 1910-1925, dating this item to that time period.]
    The composition is a non-magnetic metal (likely brass), with an original gilt surface treatment that remains.  The item (including the suspension rings)
    measures approximately 32 x 65 mm (1-1/4 x 2-1/2"). [3716]
    This medal is in extremely fine condition, with no actual wear, with toning, and it remains bright, with a good gold color.
