    Description

    This 14K white gold (tested, not marked)  Art Nouveau ring is literally ablaze with diamonds!  The  lacy, floral filigree design is dome shaped and topped off with a prong set turquoise stone.  The smaller diamonds studded throughout  the filigree are  rose cuts and the 4 larger accenting diamonds are old European cut, approximately 1 1/2 point each.  Surrounding the 7mm turquoise are 12 old European cut bright diamonds of approximately 2 1/2 points each.  In the photo of the side view of the ring you will notice that one of the diamonds appears to  be rising out of the setting.  This was clearly a replacement stone and it is secure in its setting as is.  You will notice that there are four points below the uppermost ring of diamonds which appear as empty "holes".  When I first acquired this spectacular piece, I thought the stones were missing and took it to my jeweler to have them replaced.  He assured me that the "holes" were part of the design and never intended to hold stones.  Upon closer examination, I can see that he is correct, there are no elements of what constitutes a setting present.   There is a mark on the inside of the band which I cannot make out at all.   The dome rises 1/2 of an inch above the finger and is 3/4 of an inch from shoulder to shoulder.  It is approximately a  size 7 and can be resized.  The photos cannot come close to doing justice to the impressive  beauty of this regal ring!
