Description
This is a Solid 14K Yellow Gold with jewels and Enamel Decorated Past Master Masonic Medal in is its original maker's box as pictured(name matches the medal). I recently acquired this at a local auction. It is not marked but acid tests to 14K. It is done in plain Yellow Gold with a bright polished finish. There are 3 sections to the medal. The top section has a pin back with name and crown, the middle section is gold and enamel that reads" Gate of the Temple Lodge, Boston, MA. The bottom section is a large Compass featuring a Trowel with a carved purple amnethest looking stone. The back is reads "Gate of the Temple Lodge, Boston Mass, Nov 22, 1932, WOR. Otis. W. Amsden.
The pin and pin guard appear to be original and are in good working condition. Overall the Medal measures 5 7/8 inches tall by almost 2 1/2 inches wide (at the widest) and weighs 62.4 grams on my digital scale. Right near 00 in actual gold value. This is a super piece
