If you save unique and interesting cinderella stamps, this is a very scarce, TERRIFIC item that rarely surfaces! This is a cover mailed from Canajoharie, New York to the First National Bank in Gathersburg, Maryland on May 14, 1901. What makes this such a remarkable find is the red and white 2 1/4" round label issued by the New York Central Railroad, encouraging people to travel to the Pan American Exposition by train and simply say "Put Me Off At Buffalo". There is a tear on the back flap, yet inside the cover is a printed request for payment of funds due. The NY Central Railroad label on this cover is quite difficult to find, and makes this a fine collectible!
Don't miss your chance to get this item, as it could be years before you get another chance to add this gem to your collection!

    Background
    :
The electrifying 1901 Pan American Exposition in Buffalo, New York offered a spirited message of hope and possibility. Over eight million people flocked to the spectacular Pan Am, and there were substantial opportunities for businessmen to profit.
Two very different people did so by creating souvenir “cinderella” stamps for the event. One was a reputable man who sold over four million Expo stamps and became a respected philatelic expert; the other was a traveling charlatan who later drifted into the darkness of forgery and swindling.
    ?
Their riviting stories and adventures jump off the pages. And the items they created, that are an ever increasing attraction to stamp collectors and lovers of intrigue alike, are  beautifully pictured and precisely detailed inside the book too!
Don't miss your chance to add this nice item to your collection today and BE SURE to check out my eBay Store to see lots of other Pan American Exposition collectibles, stamps, covers and philatelic items, many which have just been marked down!
